Blue J: what the plan includes
The pricing page offers an Individual plan "best for sole practitioners" at $1,498 a year per user and says it includes full US federal and SALT coverage, unlimited questions, drafting and file uploads, and unlimited in-line citations. The Team plan adds dedicated support, guided onboarding, firm-wide usage insights and SSO, with no price shown. The home page also carries an announcement of a partnership with Legora, described as integrating tax and legal research. For the full profile, read our Blue J review.
TaxGPT: no price to compare
TaxGPT's pricing page lists three plans, Pro for solo practitioners, Pro Plus for growing practices and Firms for larger ones, each with a "Book a demo" button and no figure. The feature lists differ: Pro includes research, document upload, a tax writer and client intelligence; Pro Plus adds preparation and bookkeeping agents; Firms adds unlimited client entities and in-person onboarding. Because no price is published, any cost comparison with Blue J or Bizora has to come from a quote. The page states SOC 2 Type II. We did not find trial terms on the pricing page.
Bizora: the lowest published price, with limits
Bizora lists three monthly plans billed per user. The cheapest, Essential at $29.99 a month, includes two deep research questions, two web-search questions and two document uploads per day. Pro at $69.99 a month and Pinnacle at $119.99 a month lift those limits. Pinnacle adds a priority SLA, early access to beta features and optional quarterly strategy reviews. Billed for a year, that is $839.88 for Pro and $1,439.88 for Pinnacle, set against $1,498 for Blue J's Individual plan. Bizora also sells usage-based API access at $0.24 for a fast research request and $1.50 for a deep one, separate from the plans.
How to choose
- Solo preparer who wants a fixed annual price: Blue J's Individual plan is the only one of the three with an annual figure and no stated daily caps.
- Lowest cost to try the workflow: both Blue J and Bizora offer a 7-day trial without a card. Run the same five real questions through each and compare the citations yourself.
- Firm that wants preparation and review agents in the same product: TaxGPT describes them on its higher plans, but you need a quote to price it.
- Broader tax and regulatory tracking: see our Blue J vs Bloomberg Tax comparison.
We did not test the accuracy of any of the three. Whichever you pick, a CPA or attorney still has to read the authorities it cites.
