How the per-GB model works
Pay As You Go is billed per GB of data each month, so the bill follows your data volume. We infer it would fall if you remove data; confirm how Logikcull counts stored data. The annual plans are described as storage-based with reusable blocks of storage, or matter-based with a set number of matters and a single charge for uploaded data; the page gives no block sizes or matter counts. Logikcull also says most subscription firms bill clients per GB per month and that it will help estimate market rates and usage.
Cost predictability, then, depends on how well you know your data volume. Not published: the per-GB rate, the rate above a plan's included storage, renewal and cancellation terms for the annual plans, and user limits on those plans. Ask for them in a written quote.
Is Logikcull a good fit for legal teams?
On Logikcull's description, the workflow is upload, process, cull and filter, review, and produce. Our Logikcull profile covers that workflow and describes it as a self-service tool for firms that do not have a dedicated e-discovery team. That is our reading of vendor material, not a test result.
Fits: small and mid-size litigation firms and in-house teams with occasional matters, where unlimited users and a no-commit monthly plan matter.
Questions before you commit: how large your typical matter is in GB, how long you keep data stored, and whether you need AI features, since Reveal AI fact-finding is listed as an add-on on the comparison table.
Not an obvious fit: very large matters, where committed-volume platforms may price differently. See Everlaw pricing for how one such platform describes its model.
