AI Vortex / Pricing / Cost calculator

What legal AI costs for your lawyers

Enter how many lawyers will use it, how many hours a month each one will, and the tool you are weighing. You get a range, from annual to monthly billing, and the page each price came from. A tool with no public price is left out of the total until you type the quote you were given. It never counts as zero.

1. Lawyers and hours

Count every lawyer who will have a login. Hours are the time each one expects to spend in the tool in a month.

2. Tool

Tick the ones you are comparing. For tools with no public price, enter the quote you received, in dollars per lawyer per month.

3. Optional: your hourly rate

Leave it empty to skip. With a rate, the result shows how many hours of work per seat per month the stack has to replace to equal its cost.

How the number is built

For a listed tool: the per-seat price for annual billing (low) and for monthly billing (high), times your lawyers (or the plan minimum if you are below it), times 12 for the year. For a quoted tool: your quote times your lawyers, times 12, in both ends. The total adds the tools that have a price. Cost per hour of use is the monthly cost divided by lawyers times hours. Hourly-rate hours are the per-lawyer monthly cost divided by your rate.

This is arithmetic on list prices, not a recommendation and not legal advice. Vendors change prices, and a real contract can differ on term, volume, taxes and usage. Check the source before you budget.
