The comparison
| Tool | Main job | Who it's built for | Published pricing | What we couldn't verify |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Juro | Contract platform with AI Extract, AI Draft, AI Review and an MCP connection | Legal, HR, procurement, sales and finance teams | Not published; custom plan; quotes in USD, GBP or EUR; demo, no trial listed | Prices, AI accuracy |
| Ironclad | Contract lifecycle management, an AI assistant and eSignature, sold as a package | Legal and business teams: sales, procurement, operations, marketing | Not published; custom quote | Prices, AI feature detail |
| Spellbook | Word add-in for Review, Draft, Ask, Benchmarks and Playbooks, plus Associate agent | Law firms and in-house teams | Not published; based on team members; 7-day free trial | Prices, accuracy |
| Docusign CLM | Contract lifecycle management with AI review, summarization and extraction (Iris) | Sales, legal, HR, procurement, plus financial services, insurance, government and others | Not published; "Talk to an Expert" | Prices, AI accuracy |
PandaDoc and LegalOn were on our list but we don't include them: PandaDoc's pricing page returned HTTP 429 to our fetch and LegalOn's domain didn't resolve for us. We didn't work around either.
Who each is for
Juro. Aimed at legal and the business teams around it: its page speaks to HR, procurement, sales and finance as well as legal. See our Juro profile and Ironclad vs Juro.
Ironclad. You assemble the package: lifecycle management, an AI assistant or eSignature, with a choice of who deploys it. Some integrations cost extra. See Ironclad pricing and Ironclad alternatives.
Spellbook. Not a contract repository: it works inside Word on review and drafting. Choose it if your pain is redlining, not workflow and storage. See Spellbook pricing.
Docusign CLM. The natural step if you already run Docusign eSignature. Its page mentions Salesforce, SAP Ariba and Coupa integrations. See Ironclad vs Docusign CLM.
Pricing, as shown on October 21, 2026
None of the four pages shows an amount. Juro says pricing depends on contract volume and integration complexity. Ironclad says pricing is shaped by products, users, workflows and growth. Spellbook says pricing is structured around team members on the license. Docusign's CLM page links to a sales contact, and its "Plans & Pricing" link leads to eSignature pricing, not CLM.
What we couldn't verify
- Any price for any of the four.
- AI quality, accuracy or playbook performance.
- Security certifications and data residency.
- Integration depth with your CRM or e-signature tool.
- PandaDoc and LegalOn (could not be read, see above).
How to choose
- Decide the job: a contract repository and workflow, or review and drafting help in Word.
- Write down volume, approvers and the systems that must connect (CRM, HRIS, eSignature).
- Request quotes in writing from Juro, Ironclad and Docusign; start Spellbook's 7-day trial if drafting is the need.
- Run the same five real contracts through each, with non-sensitive versions.
- Ask about export: how you get contracts and metadata out if you leave.

Questions and answers
What are the best Juro alternatives?
Ironclad and Docusign CLM for full contract lifecycle management, and Spellbook for review and drafting in Word. We haven't tested them; the right one depends on whether you need a repository and workflow or drafting help.
How much does Juro cost?
Juro doesn't publish prices. Its page says the price depends on contract volume and integration complexity and that quotes can be in USD, GBP or EUR.
Is Ironclad cheaper than Juro?
We can't say. Neither publishes a price, and both sell custom packages, so only written quotes at your volume can be compared.
Does Juro offer a free trial?
Its pricing page offers a demo and doesn't mention a trial. Spellbook offers a 7-day free trial.
Can Juro's AI review contracts against our playbook?
Juro's page says AI Review auto-redlines contracts against custom playbooks. We didn't test it, so ask for a demo using your own playbook. Spellbook also lists Playbooks.
