Who each is for
Legora. The page positions the aOS as a single system for information, communication and execution of legal work. The Agent plans, executes, reviews and delivers; Monitors scans regulation; Lists organizes work. It is broader than a research tool and the page gives no price. See our Legora profile and Legora alternatives.
Vincent by vLex. The page describes research workflows that turn a natural-language question into a cited memo with links to primary sources, jurisdiction comparisons, and litigation tools such as complaint review and chronology extraction. Studio lets a team build custom workflows without code. See our Vincent profile, the Vincent AI pricing page and Harvey vs vLex Vincent AI.
Where they overlap. Both do legal research with AI and both offer workflows. The difference to test is the content underneath: Vincent points to vLex's own database of case law, statutes and commentary; the Legora page we read describes Legal Research but does not name its source database on the home page. Ask Legora which sources it uses for your jurisdiction.
Pricing, as shown on October 28, 2026
- Legora: not published on its home page; the call to action is "Book a demo".
- Vincent by vLex: not published on its Vincent page, which offers a demo and a free trial. See our Vincent AI pricing page for what is known beyond the vendor page.
Before you rely on this
- Prices for either product: ask each vendor for a written quote.
- Security: Legora lists SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001, ISO 42001, GDPR and HIPAA with no AI training on your data; vLex lists SOC 2, ISO 27001 and zero-retention agreements with its language model providers. Ask each for the reports.
- Vincent's productivity and reliability figures: the page cites benchmarking and trials, but this page does not publish their method, so we repeat none of the numbers.
- Legora's customer study: the page cites a qualitative study of its customers; we repeat none of its percentages.
- Coverage: check that the content you need (your jurisdiction, your practice area) is in the database each tool searches.
- Ownership: the Vincent page says vLex is part of Clio. Ask how that affects data handling and your contract.
How we'd test the two in a week
- Pick five research questions you've already answered, in jurisdictions you work in.
- Ask the same questions in each tool and check every cited authority by hand.
- Run one multi-document task in each, such as reviewing a set of agreements against a list of questions.
- Try one workflow you repeat often and see how much setup each needs.
- Ask each vendor for security documentation, data retention terms and a written quote.
