What the free trial gives you
| Question | What MyCase's pricing page says (October 21, 2026) | What it doesn't say |
|---|---|---|
| Length | "A 10 day no-cost trial" | Whether the 10 days can be extended |
| Card needed | "No credit card required to start" | Nothing further |
| Access | "Start your free trial. Full access." | Which plan tier the trial runs on, and whether the 8am IQ AI tools are active during it |
| If you cancel in the trial | "You will NOT be charged" | Whether trial data can be exported afterwards |
| Where to start | "Try MyCase free" on each plan card | Whether a demo is needed first (it isn't, per the page) |
What it costs after the trial
MyCase lists three plans in USD per user per month, with a toggle between annual and monthly billing. Annual billing is advertised as saving up to 16%.
| Plan | Billed annually | Billed monthly | What the page lists |
|---|---|---|---|
| MyCase Basic | USD 50 | USD 60 | Case and contact management, time entry, invoicing and trust accounting, online payments, reporting, document storage, limited client portal |
| MyCase Pro | USD 100 | USD 120 | Everything in Basic plus eSignature and document generation, automated workflows, client intake forms and CRM, two-way texting, premium billing, 8am IQ Writing and Document Assistant, 70+ integrations |
| MyCase Advanced | USD 130 | USD 150 | Everything in Pro plus 8am IQ Case Assistant, 8am IQ Discovery Assistant (OCR), advanced document automation, desktop drive, conflict check tracking, split billing, open API |
Add-ons shown on the same page: MyCase Accounting at USD 39 per user per month (on Pro and Advanced), and LawPay payments with no monthly fee and "competitive processing rates" (the rates are not on the page). The Discovery Assistant gives 5,000 pages per user per month shared across the firm, with another 5,000 pages for USD 30.
The page says there is no long-term contract or setup fee, and that fees you have already paid are non-refundable if you cancel later.
Who the trial fits
A small firm choosing its first or next practice management system. Ten days is enough to load a few real matters, run one billing cycle's worth of time entries and send a test invoice, but not to judge month-end trust reconciliation. Put that on your day-one checklist.
A firm that mainly wants the AI features. The AI tools sit in the Pro and Advanced tiers, and MyCase doesn't say which tier the trial uses. Ask support before you rely on the trial to test them. Our notes on MyCase IQ and the MyCase IQ vs Clio Duo comparison cover what the vendor says about those tools.
A firm weighing MyCase against another system. Compare the same three workflows in each trial: MyCase vs PracticePanther and Clio Duo vs MyCase vs Smokeball list what each vendor publishes.
What we couldn't verify
- Which plan tier the free trial runs on.
- Whether the AI tools (8am IQ) work during the trial.
- Whether the monthly price shown is the price after the trial for a new account, or can vary by firm size.
- LawPay's processing rates (not on the pricing page).
- Customer-count and "bank grade security" claims on the site. We did not audit any of them.
A 10-day plan for the trial
- Day 1: create two real but low-risk matters and import five contacts.
- Day 2: enter time for a week of work and generate one invoice.
- Day 3: send a client intake form and a document for eSignature to a colleague.
- Days 4 to 7: try the AI features if they are enabled, on a document you can safely share. Keep client-confidential files out of any trial until you have read the data terms.
- Day 8: export your data and check what comes out. This is the best test of lock-in.
- Day 9: ask support for written answers to the unknowns above. Cancel before day 10 if they don't come back.

Questions and answers
Does MyCase have a free trial?
Yes. MyCase's pricing page offers a 10-day no-cost trial with no credit card required to start. It was live when we read the page on October 21, 2026.
Do you need a credit card for the MyCase free trial?
No. The pricing page says "No credit card required." It also says that if you cancel within the trial period you will not be charged.
How much does MyCase cost after the free trial?
USD 50, 100 or 130 per user per month for Basic, Pro and Advanced when billed annually, or USD 60, 120 and 150 when billed monthly. Add-ons such as MyCase Accounting (USD 39 per user per month) cost extra.
Is there a free version of MyCase?
We found no free plan on the pricing page, only the 10-day trial. LawPay, its payments add-on, has no monthly fee, but that isn't a free version of the practice management software.
Can you test MyCase's AI tools in the free trial?
MyCase doesn't say. The page says "Full access" for the trial, but the AI assistants are listed under the Pro and Advanced tiers. Confirm with MyCase in writing before you plan a trial around them.
