What it costs after the trial
Not published. Filevine's pricing page says "All packages are custom built for your team's needs" and sends you to a demo or to the sales team for a quote. It lists products (LOIS, Matters, Intake, Depositions, Signatures and others) without prices. Our Filevine pricing page tracks what is and isn't public.
Who the trial fits
A litigation or personal injury firm that wants to test AI drafting and research without moving case data. Explore doesn't need a Filevine case connection, so you can try the AI on a document without a migration. That also means you will not see how LOIS works inside your matters, which is where Filevine says the value is.
A firm already on another case management system. You can judge the AI quality alone. Read Filevine alternatives and Filevine vs Clio for the comparison on the platform side.

What we couldn't verify
- Usage limits, document size limits and trial duration for LOIS Explore.
- Whether uploaded documents are retained or used to improve models. Read the data terms before uploading anything confidential.
- How accurate the "cited to source" outputs are. We did not test them.
- What a paid LOIS plan costs.
A one-hour test
- Pick a public, non-confidential document set, such as a published opinion and a sample contract.
- Ask five factual questions and check each citation against the page it points to.
- Draft a short document and mark every statement you cannot trace.
- Run one legal research query you already know the answer to.
- Write down what stopped you (a limit, a missing case connection) and take it to the demo.
