As of October 20, 2026, only a minority of legal AI tools publish a price. General assistants such as Claude and Microsoft Copilot list per-seat rates. Legal research and e-discovery platforms, including Harvey, Lexis+ AI, CoCounsel, Everlaw, Relativity and DISCO, sell by quote. This page lists what each one publishes, where we read it and when.

These are general-purpose or research-only products. A low seat price does not tell you whether the tool is approved for client data, which tools it can call or how much review its output needs. The Claude for legal work guide and the Microsoft Copilot legal guide cover those questions.

Tools that sell by quote

For these products there is no price to read. The table records what the vendor says about how it prices, which tells you what to put in the request.

How these tools charge

Three shapes cover almost every row above.

Seat. Price times users. Claude, Copilot and Midpage work this way. Ask about minimum seats and usage limits.

Data volume. E-discovery platforms bill on gigabytes processed or committed. Relativity and DISCO state that AI is included in that rate; Everlaw says some AI actions draw on credits. The all-in cost depends on matter size and how long data stays hosted.

Custom contract. Harvey, Legora, Lexis+ AI, CoCounsel and Spellbook price per firm. The number moves with headcount, modules, content and term, which is why a figure on a blog is rarely your figure.

Numbers you will see elsewhere

Third-party sites quote estimates for quote-only tools, including per-seat ranges for Harvey and add-on ranges for CoCounsel and Lexis+ AI. Those are not vendor-published prices and we could not verify them against a vendor source. Older pages on this site, such as the separate Harvey, CoCounsel, Lexis+ AI and Everlaw price pages, carry ranges that firms and analysts reported. For a budget, use a written quote and treat any range as a prompt for a question, not a figure.

How to compare quotes

Ask every vendor the same questions in writing:

  1. What is the unit: seat, data volume, task or firm?

  2. What is the minimum term, minimum spend and renewal increase?

  3. Which AI features are included, and which draw on credits or usage fees?

  4. What is the cost of implementation, training and support?

  5. What happens to our data and our prompts if we leave?

Then compare completed work, not list price. The pricing models guide shows how to add model charges, retries and reviewer time, and the legal AI cost overview frames the tiers. If a vendor will only quote a bundle, use the pilot scorecard to price a trial before a contract.

Operational information, not legal advice or a vendor quote. Prices were read from the pages cited on October 20, 2026, except where marked.

Questions and answers

How much does Harvey cost?

Harvey does not publish a price. Its site directs buyers to request a demo. Any per-seat figure you see elsewhere is an estimate, not a vendor-published price.

How much does Lexis+ AI cost?

LexisNexis does not publish a price. It says pricing varies with organization size, capabilities and content and directs buyers to call or submit a form. A two-day free trial is offered on its product page.

How much does CoCounsel cost?

Thomson Reuters does not list a CoCounsel price on its product page and directs buyers to contact sales. Ask for a written quote that separates Westlaw content from the AI capability.

How much does Claude cost for a law firm?

As of October 20, 2026, Anthropic lists Claude Team at $25 per seat monthly or $20 billed annually for the Standard seat, and $125 or $100 for the Premium seat. Enterprise lists $20 per seat annually plus usage at API rates, with a 20-seat minimum.

Which legal AI tools publish a price?

How often is this page checked?

Every row shows its source and check date. Prices change without notice, so confirm a figure on the vendor page before you rely on it.
